10 facts about Arabic

The BBC website has a nice introductory article about the language, which you can read and listen to in English or in Arabic, and you can download the audio as an MP3.

Besides this, the same site offers an MP3 of Key phrases, a very quick guide to the Arabic alphabet and a few very basic videos aimed at introducing Arabic in schools and two cute cartoons (which I use a lot in my classes!)

If you liked these, you might be lured into dipping your toes into a few other world languages while you’re at it, too…
